🌙 late night coding & existential spirals

It's almost 3 AM and I'm still tweaking the dialogue system for Write Me Into You. There's something magical about coding when the world is asleep — like you're the only person awake in a digital dream.

I finally figured out how to make the text glitch in a way that feels intentional rather than broken. The trick was making it subtle at first, then gradually more unhinged as the story progresses. I want players to question if their game is corrupting or if the corruption IS the game.

Also discovered I've been living off instant ramen and spite for three days. Should probably fix that. 🍜

🎨 character design breakthrough (+ bunny doodles)

Had a huge breakthrough with the main character's design today! I was struggling with making them look simultaneously cool and unsettling — like hey could be your best friend or your obssesed stalker depending on the lighting.

The secret was in the eyes. I gave them this soft, dreamy expression that becomes increasingly hollow as you progress through the story. Small changes in the sprite. like the light in the eyes and stuff like that. I think most players won't consciously notice but will definitely *feel* it.

In between serious art, I've been drawing tiny bunnies in all my margins.

💭 on visual novels

Been thinking about visual novels lately. Specifically the first ones i heard about back in 2020-2021 that made me love them

Games like Boyfriend to Death and Your Boyfriend Game, games i shouldn't be playing at the age i first knew about them. I kinda feel bad, because, for example, gatobob doesn't want minors interacting with her content, but i remember how i played her games in like, middle school (withouth fully knowing that), and they inspired me so much!, not just to make games, but also i love her artstyle, and recently, in YKMET her message in her note made me think. she went through a lot, and i feel identified with a lot of stuff that happened to her, I realized then that her games really helped me through all my healing process, and that's what im aiming to do with my game Write Me Into You.

🐰 Just created this page!

Spent the morning updating this little corner of the internet! Added some new CSS animations and fixed the navigation (it was more broken than my sleep schedule, which is saying something).

I love having this space to document the chaos. Social media feels too fast, too ephemeral. Here, I can ramble about my hiperfixations and know it'll stay exactly where I put it.

Planning to add a gallery section soon to show off all the art I make. Stay tuned! 💕
